Rivermaya has just returned from a very successful Asian expedition. Upon winning as Favorite Artist at this years MTV Asia Awards, the band was chosen by the Tourism Authority of Thailand and MTV Asia to represent the Philippines in the Pattaya International Music Festival held from April 18-20, 2005. This is the first time the annual festival has included participants from all over the region, and total attendance is at an estimated 1 million people. Rivermaya did two shows on two out of three huge stages located on different spots in Pattaya. The setlists included both english and filipino songs but the language difference didn't seem to matter as the crowd eagerly sang, jumped, and screamed along with the music.
